The Siri Basket is handwoven in the Upper East Region of Ghana using sustainably harvested elephant grass. Finished with goatskin-covered handles, it is strong, practical, and beautifully versatile—perfect for storage, laundry, or everyday use.
The story of Siri — Medium
All our baskets are handwoven using traditional techniques passed down from generation to generation in the Upper East Region of Ghana.
They are made from the vetiver plant, also known as elephant grass, which is harvested locally and tightly woven to create a sturdy, long-lasting form.
The Siri Basket features handles wrapped in goatskin leather, protecting the finishing ends while providing strength and comfort. Designed with both beauty and function in mind, the Siri Basket is available in medium and large sizes.
Handcrafted With Purpose
A medium Siri Basket takes 2–3 days to complete, with each piece carefully woven by skilled artisans. Every basket tells a story of craftsmanship, empowerment, and the preservation of traditional skills.
Each purchase supports traditional artisanship, promotes sustainable living, and helps keep valuable cultural knowledge alive.
